HK&W marine worked with the City of Sumter on the design of this Project. The City of Sumter was tiered of the up keep and maintenance that was involved with using wood decking and structural framing. HK&W marine worked with Owens Corning and decided that Weardeck composite was the solution to the City of Sumter’s problem. All pile cap, joist, decking and handrail system was built using composite Weardeck material. With the warranty provided with the weardeck composite material, The City of Sumter can forget about the yearly maintenance that is required with wood decking.
